Over the years, The Texas Pitching Institute has grown and expanded on providing information and training for pitchers and pitching related events.
It began out of the back of my truck, working in a local park, as I would unload a screen and big containers of all my equipment out of the bed of truck and set up.
Once the weather and the time changed and it began to get colder and darker, I had to make a change, and I ended up in a 1,500 sq. ft. office/warehouse space.
Along the way, I was fortunate to create relationships with some of the top pitcher development businesses in the world, who showed me how to run a business like them.
TPI grew into a nationally recognized training facility, where we eventually had pitchers that came from across the country to work and train there.
After a while, I got a call from D-BAT, the world's largest indoor baseball and softball training facility franchise, and I was asked if I thought I could figure out how to fit my TPI training model into a D-BAT.
It was something that I had never thought about doing, but as I travelled down that path, it led me to buying my own D-BAT franchise and integrated TPI inside of it.
Now that I was overseeing this new business, while continuing to oversee TPI, I had an epiphany which I've followed for the past several years.
In the past, if I worked with 20 pitchers, I had an opportunity to make an impact on 20 different careers.
However...if I worked with 20 Pitching Coaches, who each worked with 10 pitchers, I had an opportunity to have an impact on 20 professional coaching careers and 200 playing careers!
So I began working with Pitching Coaches, speaking at High School Coaches Conventions and hosting my own events, for the benefit of growing the understanding and knowledge of training and developing pitchers.
But I have kind of grown tired of that and have decided to pursue something that has personally excited me for years, and I'm thinking that it will excite many others as well.
I want to help pitching instructors, who have their own pitching business, or want to start one, develop and grow it.
And it's not just the "X's & O's" of throwing a baseball or strength training, etc....but it is the marketing of the business that I really get excited about.
I want to be very clear, D-BAT has its own systems that belong to them and I will NOT be sharing that kind of information.
I do advise that if you are interested in getting involved with D-BAT, that you absolutely should and I can help you make the necessary inroads to figure out if it is a good fit for you.
I am going to speak on the marketing, sales and pitcher development skills that I've acquired over the years, that have proven to work for TPI and also for growing my D-BAT location as well.
To get started, I would encourage you to get a copy of my latest book, Pitching Program Secrets.
It is completely FREE, all you have to do is cover the shipping and I'll send it to you right away!
I am excited for this journey.
Make sure to follow my socials, as that is where I will be starting to post content that will help you grow your pitching business.
